Your role in the team
- You are responsible for the professional development of Problem and Event Management, further developing the target vision for both practices and ensuring high quality and continuous process optimization through your expertise.
- You also coordinate the interfaces with adjacent practices such as incident and change management, ensuring that processes work seamlessly together across the value chain.
- You are the primary point of contact for the requirements of stakeholders across both practices, prioritizing them and representing the practices as their face within BarmeniaGothaer’s IT department.
- You define objectives and key performance indicators, create transparency around process quality, derive concrete improvement measures from them, and ensure compliance with governance, audit, and compliance requirements for both practices.
- You drive the evolution of event management and monitoring toward AIOps: from event correlation and consolidating numerous individual events into a small number of actionable incidents to predictive analytics that identify disruptions before they occur.
- Last but not least, you assess and shape the use of AI-powered methods for automated root cause analysis and (partially) automated remediation in conjunction with ITSM processes.
Our expectations of you
Education
- A degree in computer science or a comparable qualification, along with excellent German language skills (at least C1 level), rounds out your profile.
Qualifications
- You communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders and bring their requirements and interests together to develop sustainable solutions.
- You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and demonstrate a strong commitment to quality.
- In addition, you have a good understanding of modern observability and AIOps approaches (the interplay of logs, metrics, and events; anomaly detection; correlation; and predictive analytics) and are interested in actively shaping this field.
- You enjoy not only running practices but also developing them further from a subject-matter perspective—from defining objectives and setting priorities to continuous optimization.
Experience
- You have in-depth knowledge of IT Service Management based on ITIL and ideally have experience implementing ITSM processes in ServiceNow.
- You have experience with monitoring and observability solutions (e.g., Instana, CheckMK, or SCOM) as well as automation approaches in IT operations.
What we offer
- You’ll experience an appreciative, open and diverse working environment—genuine, competent and considerate of one another and our customers.
- 60 to 80% remote work (depending on the team), flexible working hours, 30 days of annual leave, the option to take a sabbatical of up to six months, and individual support for families, because life and work go hand in hand.
- Comprehensive health management, company restaurants and barista coffee bars, sports and preventive health programs, as well as our confidential and anonymous counseling service whenever you need professional or personal support.
- Seminars, programs, language courses, and e-learning opportunities to help you grow professionally and personally and try new things.
- Partially employer-funded occupational pension scheme from day one, employer-funded company health insurance, group accident insurance, and perks such as preferential rates and corporate benefits.
- Hardware, tools, and development environments so you can develop, test, and deploy.
- Deutschlandticket for around €25 per month, bike leasing, EV charging stations, and opportunities to actively shape sustainability.
