All began with a small dairy farm, which was founded in 1887 by Franz Seraph Bauer, the great-great-grandfather of today's managing directors as "Bauer Swiss Cheese Factory" in Wasserburg am Inn. Today, the Bauer Group forms an umbrella organization for the three business areas of dairies, delicatessen and trade and eight daughter companies from Bauer. The Bauer Group lists production sites throughout Germany and is already run by fifth generation as a family business.
