Your role in the team

  • As part of our Maritime Solutions team, you combine software development with cybersecurity. You support our products and systems throughout their lifecycle, from secure architecture and development to testing, documentation, and commissioning.
  • Security by Design: You embed cyber security from the outset in the design and development of our software and hardware solutions for the maritime sector.
  • Secure Coding: You develop security-critical software components, e.g. for authentication, encryption, Secure Boot, or secure update mechanisms on embedded Linux systems and controllers.
  • Secure development process: You establish and oversee a Secure Software Development Lifecycle, including code reviews, static code analysis, SBOM and dependency management, as well as automated security testing in our CI/CD pipeline.
  • Regulations and standards: You analyze requirements, e.g. from IEC 62443, the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), and IACS UR E26 and E27, and translate them into practical specifications for our products.
  • Network and systems security: You design, review, and harden network architectures and systems—on board and on shore.
  • Risk and vulnerability management: You continuously assess threats, risks, and vulnerabilities, for example through threat modeling and penetration testing, and determine appropriate countermeasures.
  • Incident Response: You analyze security incidents and coordinate the handling of reported vulnerabilities.
  • Technical documentation: You create and maintain documentation on security-related topics such as risk assessments, network configurations, testing, and certifications.
  • Internal and external point of contact: You are the central point of contact for cyber security—for our development teams as well as for customers, classification societies, and management.
  • You occasionally support commissioning or on-site service assignments. Depending on the project, these can last anywhere from one day to two weeks.
