Your role in the team
- Your mission will be to support and develop IT operations at our Mannheim office and production site, ensuring that our teams can work reliably every day, our systems are manufactured without IT outages, and our processes become increasingly efficient with AI.
- You handle support and service requests from our employees—from the initial user contact through to in-depth troubleshooting—and ensure lasting solutions rather than workarounds.
- You coordinate incidents from initial analysis through to resolution and follow up with service providers, manufacturers, and our Cloud Operations team until the root cause has been addressed.
- You are directly available to our employees—in person, by phone, or via ticket.
- You administer users, permissions, and licenses across our system landscape—from Microsoft 365 and Entra ID to other cloud and business applications.
- You manage onboarding and offboarding from a technical perspective, ensuring access is set up on time and reliably revoked when employees leave.
- You centrally manage end-user devices and ensure workstations are consistently configured and secure.
- You help our employees use AI tools safely and effectively in their day-to-day work by answering questions, providing practical use cases, and assisting with setup.
- You automate recurring IT and business processes, for example using scripts, low-code or AI tools, so they run faster and are less prone to errors.
- Together with the team, you manage firewalls, switches, Wi-Fi, and VPN at our locations and assess the impact of changes before implementing them.
- You actively contribute to IT projects—for example, implementing new systems or modernizing our infrastructure—and take ownership of work packages from planning through to implementation.
- You provide on-site IT support at our office in Mannheim and our production facility in Ladenburg, set up hardware, and ensure that workstations and devices in the office and manufacturing areas run reliably.
- You implement technical measures from our information security management system in operations, such as backups, patch levels, and access rights reviews, and document them in a traceable manner.
Our expectations of you
Education
- More important to us than your training or degree is what you can do and bring to the table. Typical paths into this role include vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d), a degree in (business) informatics, or a comparable qualification.
Qualifications
- You may come from roles such as IT systems administrator, Modern Workplace IT administrator, IT support specialist, or systems administrator at a medium-sized company or IT services provider.
- You have experience administering cloud and SaaS applications, managing end-user devices, and supporting IT infrastructure in office and production environments, and you’re interested in AI applications and process automation.
- You work in a ticket-based environment with clear documentation and have a basic understanding of networking (e.g. firewalls, VLANs, VPNs)—or are keen to develop these skills with us.
- Confident use of common cloud and office environments (e.g., Microsoft 365), endpoint management, and ticketing and documentation systems.
- Fluent in German, good command of English.
- Class B driver’s license and willingness to travel regularly to Ladenburg.
Experience
- You have several years of professional experience (ideally around five years) in IT support and approach incidents with structured troubleshooting.
- You have experience in system administration, for example with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID, and quickly get up to speed with additional systems and applications.
- An advantage: experience with AI assistants and automation tools (e.g., scripting or low-code platforms).
What we offer
- Meaningful work with real impact – a direct contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions in existing buildings.
- A collaborative work environment with short decision-making processes.

- Private supplementary health insurance and retirement savings allowance.
