Your role in the team
- You work on the data flow between the backend and the UI: API contracts, backend-for-frontend, server status, caching, and invalidation.
- Together with the backend team, you’ll continue developing our frontend interface.
- You help us build a testing strategy, including E2E and API contract tests.
- You thoroughly review the code and raise well-founded objections on both technical and product-related matters.
- You work directly with the product and design teams: you clarify the goal and customer value before you start development.
Our expectations of you
Qualifications
- You identify performance bottlenecks throughout the entire data flow through measurements and address them in a targeted manner.
- You have created charts and dashboards for time series and KPIs that remain accurate even with gaps, varying resolutions, and time zones, and that users can understand without explanation.
- Your work is clear and easy to follow: integration, E2E, and contract tests—not just unit tests; small, easy-to-review PRs; concise updates and early warnings about risks.
- You have shipped production features using agentic coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor’s Agent mode), rather than just using AI autocomplete. You break the work down into clear tasks, provide the agent with context and constraints, and review and test every change before it goes into a PR. You can explain every line you submit: the agent speeds up your work, but it doesn’t make decisions.
Experience
- You have more than 5 years of experience with React and TypeScript in complex, data-intensive web applications.
- You have a solid understanding of frontend data architecture: UI state vs. server state, caching, invalidation, and data consistency in asynchronous workflows. You have hands-on experience with state management in React.
- You have extensive API and backend experience: API contracts, request orchestration, and permission boundaries. You have designed frontend interfaces. You solve problems across the frontend/backend boundary.
