Your role in the team
- At VESTIGAS, data is generated every day across Sales, Customer Success, Finance, and Product. So far, however, it hasn’t been available where decisions are made. As Lead Business Operations & Data, you’ll build the systems we use to run the company. These include clear processes, a shared data model, and metrics that leadership and teams can rely on. You’ll also make sure manual effort doesn’t grow as we do.
- You report directly to Korbinian, who is responsible for Operations, Finance & People at our company. The Operations function doesn’t exist yet in its current form—you’ll build it from the ground up, help decide what comes first, and get hands-on yourself.
- Build business management capabilities: You develop a shared data model for customer, contract, usage, financial, and organizational data. Based on this, you create analyses, target-versus-actual comparisons, and reports for executive management, Strategy, and the teams. Metrics are clearly defined, and their sources are traceable.
- Free up time by improving processes: You identify where manual work is consuming time across the company and put an end to it—simplify processes first, then automate them, using AI where it makes sense. What matters in the end is how much time you actually give back to the teams.
- Design systems and data flows: HubSpot is in place, but it’s not yet where we need it to be. You’ll take ownership of the system, restructure it together with Sales, CS, and Finance, and ensure that data flows cleanly from lead to pilot and contract through to invoice.
- Lead the AI Working Group: With the AI Working Group, you streamline workflows across the company. You identify recurring time-consuming tasks across teams, decide which ones are worth addressing, and roll out successful solutions to other areas.
- Steer decentralized projects: Many teams are driving their own process, data, and tooling initiatives. You keep track of the big picture, establish shared standards and priorities, and ensure everything comes together in the end instead of operating in silos.
- Make the department bigger: You drive projects across the company to completion and build solutions that run reliably even after go-live and don’t depend solely on you. This is how the department grows with you.

Qualifications
- You think beyond go-live: version control (e.g., Git), documentation, and monitoring are all part of the job for you, so others can maintain your solutions too.
- You understand business processes such as CRM, customer and contract lifecycle stages, and how they relate to Finance.
- Business acumen: You first ask what decision the analysis should enable, and only then build the dashboard.
- You work pragmatically, independently, and reliably.
- You live in Munich or the surrounding area, or are planning to move here, and enjoy coming into our office regularly.
- You have very good German and English language skills.
Experience
- A business background (e.g., business administration or business information systems) and several years of experience in BI and data analytics: You are proficient in SQL and have built data models, KPI logic, and dashboards yourself, for example in Metabase or Power BI.
- Hands-on coding experience: You write scripts that run reliably in day-to-day operations and connect systems via APIs. You use AI coding tools as a matter of course and understand what the code does. However, you don’t need to be a developer.
- Nice to have: Experience in B2B SaaS, with HubSpot, building management reports, and working on data protection or certification projects is a plus.
