DevOps Cloud Network Engineer

Our expectations of you

Education

• Completed university degree or comparable qualification and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience

Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g. Python, Ruby) and a command line interpreter (e.g. Bash, Powershell) and implementation of automation workflows
• Motivation, curiosity and a high level of comprehension in order to be able to quickly familiarize yourself with new tools and frameworks with high standards of quality and documentation of your own work

Experience

• Several years of experience and expert knowledge in the conception and operation of physical/virtual networks (Layer 2+3) and configuration and operation of firewalls (e.g. ASA, opnSense, pfSense)
• Several years of experience in using versioned configuration description tools (e.g. ansible, puppet) and infrastructure description tools (e.g. Terraform, Vagrant, Saltstack)
• Experience and knowledge with software defined network frameworks (e.g. Kuryr, Calico, Openstack Neutron) and the network mechanisms in container and orchestration frameworks (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) as well as with cloud-affine network tools/frameworks such as load balancers and reverse proxies ( e.g. Traefik, HAProxy)
