Your role in the team
- Our WTC (Web Trading Center) team builds the platform our traders use every day—the near-real-time dashboard that makes Optimax’s algorithmic trading visible, understandable, and actionable for people.

- As a Fullstack Developer with a frontend focus on this team, you’ll take the lead on frontend development while also growing into backend work—you’ll be responsible for how the platform looks and feels, and how it performs under real-time load.

- Drive our frontend development forward and help shape the architecture of our frontend monorepo.
- Build new analytics and trading UI components, such as dashboards and live charts, that remain fast and reliable even under heavy load.
- Maintain the UI of our existing platform, carry out refactorings, and continuously raise our quality and UX standards.
- Conduct code and architecture reviews and help shape the evolution of our frontend.
- Grow into our backend (Kotlin/Eclipse Vert.x) along a structured learning path, with your mentor’s support, and gradually contribute to API implementation, performance improvements, and deploying microservices on Kubernetes.
- Actively participate in team activities: refinements, planning, and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute ideas and actively look for better ways to further develop our product, code, and processes.
Our expectations of you
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field of study.
Qualifications
- Strong frontend skills with React, TypeScript, Vite, NPM, and TanStack Store or Redux.
- Confident working knowledge of web technologies (e.g., HTML5, CSS-in-JS, CORS, REST, JWT).
- Clear and precise communication in English (at least B2 level), whether during code reviews, refinement sessions, or with stakeholders.
- Residence in Germany and a valid work permit.
Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in software development.
- Experience with real-time data visualization via streaming protocols (e.g., STOMP, SSE, gRPC, WAMP).
- Experience in developing and maintaining platforms with dynamic components such as dashboards and charts, including UI rendering under heavy load.
- Experience with Docker.
- Experience with unit testing (e.g., Vitest) and integration testing (e.g., Cypress).
- A genuine interest in growing into backend development, supported by initial hands-on experience or solid theoretical knowledge of Java, Kotlin, or a comparable language.
