The primary focus of CSE is on the ELT program, but CSE also supports other ESO programs through a matrix organization.

- University degree in computer science or equivalent.
Qualifications
- If you have worked with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), especially from Beckhoff and Siemens, this will be an asset. Knowledge of concrete tools in our tool chain like Git/Gitlab, Puppet, Ansible or Jenkins would be an advantage.
- Excellent command of the English language is essential; a working knowledge of German or Spanish would be an advantage.
Experience
- You have worked at least 3 years in software development with C++ and/or Python under Linux, ideally implementing distributed control systems. You are familiar with modern software development environments and a modern tool chain. You will be a member of the team integrating local control software delivered by suppliers with the central control software and other local control software. Your responsibility will cover the definition and implementation of test cases and the evaluation of the test results. Another aspect of your work will be to maintain and extend CSE's software development and test environment DevOps tool chain.
- If you are interested, there could be the possibility to join the ELT AIV (Assembly, Integration and Verification) team in Chile for 1-2 years.
