Senior Developer Monitoring

As a Senior Developer Monitoring (m/f/d), you play a key role in the stability and performance of our critical systems for the EDEKA app and EDEKA.de.

You are responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our central monitoring and observability platform.

• Strategic Development: You define and implement the future architecture of our observability stack (e.g., based on OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
• Platform Engineering: You are responsible for the design, deployment, and operation of the central Observability platform in a hybrid cloud or container environment.
• Standardization: You develop cross-departmental standards and best practices for metrics, tracing, logging, and alerting, and assist development teams in adopting them.
• Mentoring and Coaching: You create documentation, training materials, and conduct workshops to disseminate knowledge about Observability, Tooling, and Frameworks in the field.
• Incident Management: You assist in the rapid root cause analysis and resolution of complex incidents by providing in-depth insights from observability data.
• Automation: You automate the deployment and management of the monitoring infrastructure using tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Budget Monitoring: You will further develop the monitoring of cloud costs based on Datadog (FinOps) and support our teams and executives in usage (e.g., analysis, budget management, planning).
