Your role in the team
- Do you design digital products for web and mobile that people truly understand and enjoy using?
- And you don’t just want to deliver screens—you want to take responsibility for the outcome, from the first user interview through to release?
- We develop software for diagnostics, including apps that analyze rapid tests using a smartphone camera, and the associated web portals.
- As a UX/UI Designer (m/f/d) with project responsibility, you shape these products, manage your design projects independently, and serve as the point of contact for our partners on all matters related to user experience.
- You design web applications (portals, dashboards) and mobile apps for Android and iOS.
- You conduct user research and develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
- You maintain and expand our design system.
- You work closely with the development team from idea to release.
- You lead your projects: objectives, timelines, coordination, and outcomes.
- You present concepts and designs to partners and gather feedback.
- You write user stories with clear acceptance criteria and maintain the roadmap and priorities together with your colleagues in Development and Executive Management.
- You test new features against the design and acceptance criteria and contribute to usability evaluations.
Our expectations of you
Qualifications
- A portfolio of completed web and mobile projects.
- Highly proficient in using a professional UI design tool, including components and prototyping.

- You’re open to feedback while still standing your ground when it’s the right thing for users.
- Knowledge of accessibility (WCAG) and a basic technical understanding of frontend and mobile are a plus.
- Very good German (C1+) for collaborating with the team and partners.
- Good command of English (B2+) both spoken and written.
Experience
- At least three years of professional experience in UX/UI design.
- Experience in regulated industries (medical technology, pharmaceuticals, automotive, or similar) is a plus.
- Experience with agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence is a plus.
- Experience with user research, usability testing, and design systems is a plus.
What we offer
- Design with impact: Your designs are used in medical diagnostics, and you have a tangible influence on their direction.
- Flexible working hours: Full-time, with two days per week in our Mannheim office and the rest of the time working flexibly and remotely.
