Your role in the team
- With us, you’ll see firsthand how your work improves our customers’ training: You test on the actual device, work closely with the development team, and support new features through to release.
- You’ll join our software team of four to five people and work directly with our CTO, Christopher Klabunde. Your focus will be software quality. You’ll also take on technical project coordination: bringing structure to open tasks, clarifying requirements, and helping the team turn ideas into reliable solutions. You’ll have the opportunity to grow into this responsibility.
- Thoroughly test the app and device: You test new features, typical training workflows, and edge cases, and provide specific feedback on functionality and usability.
- Build and improve tests: You develop test cases, checklists, and repeatable regression tests. Step by step, you build test automation—wherever it benefits the product and the team.
- Track issues through to resolution: You describe reproducible steps, work with the development team to narrow down the causes, and check whether a fix also works in conjunction with other features.
- Deliver projects successfully: You structure tasks, define clear acceptance criteria, coordinate dependencies, and make progress and open questions visible.
- Facilitate collaboration: You moderate agile ceremonies, such as Scrum or Kanban meetings, and help remove obstacles. Together with Chris and the team, you continuously improve processes that work for us.
- Practical use of AI: You use AI-powered tools to generate test ideas, analyze errors, create small utilities, and automate tasks, carefully reviewing the results.
- You combine your technical work with the responsibility of ensuring our projects move forward together. As a Scrum Master, you coordinate collaboration within the software team and with external development agencies. You work closely with CTO Christopher Klabunde; the role does not include disciplinary management responsibilities.
- You bring internal development teams and external partners together in a shared planning process, ensuring clear responsibilities, next steps, and transparent acceptance criteria.
- You prepare and facilitate agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, brief daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, tailored to our projects.
- You keep track of dependencies, deadlines, and outstanding decisions, raise blockers early, and help the team resolve them.
- You ensure that results are integrated, tested together, and prepared for a reliable release.
Our expectations of you
Education
- A degree in computer science or a related field, relevant vocational training, or equivalent knowledge provides a solid foundation.
Qualifications
- Enjoy taking a close look and solving problems systematically. You can clearly explain what isn’t working and how to reproduce it.
- Technical understanding of how the app, device, and backend work together, and a willingness to dive deeper.
- Initiative and a structured approach to work. You ask questions, follow up on outstanding issues, and take responsibility for results.
- Openness to AI-assisted development and testing. If you’ve already experimented with it yourself, feel free to show us an example.
- Good written and spoken English is required to confidently discuss and document technical topics within the team. German language skills are a major advantage, but not a requirement.
- Willingness to work on-site in Königs Wusterhausen regularly: Many tests take place directly on the rowing machine.
- Initial knowledge of test automation, Git, CI/CD, or agile project work. A Scrum Master certification is not required.
Experience
- If you already have experience as a Scrum Master or in project coordination, you can put it to use right away. If you’re new to the role, we’ll grow into it together: Chris and the team will support you. A Scrum Master certification is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Interested in software testing, quality assurance, and technical projects. Some initial experience is welcome but not required—we’re also interested in your own learning journey or your motivation to get up to speed on the topic.
- Experienced or just starting out: We want to get to know you. Do you already have several years of experience in this field? Great—bring your ideas and fresh perspective. Are you just starting out or do you not yet have any professional experience in this field? That’s perfectly fine, too. If you’re passionate about our product, have a solid technical foundation, and can quickly get up to speed on new topics, we’d love to meet you.
- Experience in Android development, for example with Kotlin or Java.
- Experience with Firebase as a backend for apps and how apps, user accounts, and stored data work together.
- Experience in iOS development, ideally with Swift or SwiftUI.
What we offer
- A product of our own that you can touch and try out, and lots of ideas that we want to bring to life together to a high standard.
- A team of around 25 employees, short decision-making processes, and direct collaboration with CTO Christopher Klabunde.
- Room to grow professionally and increasingly take on responsibility for quality, testing, and project workflows.
- Permanent full-time position with 40 hours per week and 28 days of annual leave.
- €60,000 to €65,000 gross per year, depending on your relevant skills and experience.
- Workplace at Zur Heide 10 in Königs Wusterhausen near Berlin. One to two days of working from home per week are possible by arrangement.
