Your role in the team

  • You are the go-to person for our customers when it comes to hardware, networks, and system configurations. Whether it’s a printer, phone system, medical device, or server: when technology causes problems, you help our customers find a solution. You’re also there for them via our emergency hotline when things need to be handled quickly.
  • You analyze technical issues remotely, handle and prioritize tickets, and find suitable solutions. When needed, you bring in other specialist teams.
  • Whether Linux or macOS, you get to the bottom of network and hardware issues and provide support with setting up, configuring, and administering system components.
  • You document your findings so that no one has to investigate the same issue twice. Valuable know-how goes into our knowledge base instead of being left in a drawer.
  • Together with other specialist teams, you refine our support processes, share error patterns and ideas for improvement, and provide support with subject-matter questions or training.
  • With our ticketing system and modern AI tools, you’ll get the most out of your day-to-day work and build your expertise in our practice management system, tomedo, step by step.
  • As a professional, you go one step further: you analyze complex log files, system states, and error messages, independently develop solutions, and use small scripts for troubleshooting or automation when needed.
  • Even in challenging escalations, you maintain a clear overview as a professional, work closely with Development and Product Management, and actively contribute to quality assurance and knowledge management.
  • Your onboarding starts on-site in Jena. You’ll also join three weeks of installations at our customers’ medical practices. After that, you can work from home more and more, and you’ll come to Jena once per quarter for an in-person catch-up.

Our expectations of you

Education

  • To join us as a Professional, you bring extensive professional experience in technical support or system administration, complemented by IT training or a comparable technical education.

Qualifications

  • Technical problems spark your ambition. You get to the bottom of them analytically, work in a structured way, and document your findings so that no important insight disappears into the digital void.
  • You’re already familiar with ticketing systems and direct customer contact. Even in stressful situations, you remain friendly, empathetic, and focused on finding solutions.
  • You enjoy working independently, setting priorities, and have a good eye for quality and process improvement. You remain reliable and conscientious, even when handling recurring tasks.
  • You enjoy sharing your knowledge and explaining complex concepts in an easy-to-understand way. Knowledge of data protection and data security in healthcare, knowledge management, or script writing is particularly beneficial at the Professional level.
  • To get off to a strong start with us, you need to be fluent in German at a minimum of C1 level. Good English skills are an advantage.

Experience

  • Hardware and networking are your thing: You’re familiar with computer and network hardware and have a basic understanding of Linux and macOS. Initial experience in system administration is a plus.
  • You have already gained practical experience in IT support, system administration, or a comparable technical environment. Career changers with relevant skills and experience are also welcome.
  • Not yet familiar with the Apple ecosystem inside and out? No problem—we’ll get you up to speed on the Mac universe. You’re also happy to try out AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini. Initial experience with agentic AI tools is a plus.

What we offer

  • Ideally, you’ll support us full-time (40 hours per week). Part-time work from 32 hours per week is also possible by individual arrangement.
