Your role in the team

  • As an IT Operations & Cloud Platform Specialist (m/f/d), you will play a key role at the intersection of two generations of technology: in a 50/50 hybrid model, you will manage both modern cloud-native platforms and highly available enterprise data center solutions.
  • You’ll work in a specialized team, take on genuine end-to-end responsibility, and build the platform foundation for hundreds of business-critical applications.
  • You operate, maintain, and scale our managed container services based on Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes, both in standard environments and in isolated, highly secure zones (air-gapped/restricted).
  • You monitor core metrics (latency, uptime, error rates via Prometheus & Grafana), consistently meet SLOs, and reduce operational toil through comprehensive automation.
  • You establish best practices for container security, manage vulnerability management, and support development teams in seamlessly integrating modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • As a technical sparring partner, you support the commissioning of new container applications from conception through to production.
  • You will be responsible for the end-to-end support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our physical server infrastructure (HPE ProLiant, Synergy Frames, OneView), including firmware updates and hardware component replacements.
  • You are responsible for administration, patching, scaling, and in-depth troubleshooting of highly available environments based on VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and Nutanix.
  • You confidently manage day-to-day IT operations—from resolving incidents quickly (Incident Management) and conducting thorough root cause analyses (Problem Management) to implementing changes with minimal downtime.
  • You monitor backup and replication processes and lead disaster recovery tests to ensure the fastest possible recovery times in an emergency.

Our expectations of you
