Your role in the team

  • Here, I’m part of the Grid Analysis Product Line, driving the development of products for grid analysis to manage energy flows as efficiently and safely as possible.
  • 50Hertz is developing the Next Generation Control Center Ecosystem (Modular Control Center System) to meet the digitalization requirements arising from the energy transition.
  • I’m helping shape this transformation and working closely with 50Hertz as it develops products that analyze, optimize, and assess grid conditions in real time and forecast them.
  • These products make the day-to-day work of operators easier and ensure that as much renewable energy as possible can be fed into our grid while keeping it stable.
  • The energy transition is increasing the need for effective, operationally viable solutions for congestion management.
  • As Product Owner for ToOp and TopRAO, I work with the product team to further develop and industrialize products for the operational system management of the Elia Group.
  • I bring together the requirements of system operations, software development, and Elia Group’s international partners.
  • This is how I shape a clear product vision for integrated bottleneck management and bring innovative optimization methods into operational use.
  • Together with users, subject matter experts, and the development team, I develop the product vision and roadmap for ToOp and TopRAO as an integrated product within MCCS.
  • I own and prioritize the shared product backlog, write clear user stories and acceptance criteria, and consistently align development with the operational value it delivers for system operations.
  • I translate system operations requirements into product capabilities and work on a consistent workflow for system operators.
  • I work closely with developers, architects, users, and subject matter experts, as well as the other Product Teams in the Product Cluster.
  • I see myself as a communication link between developers and stakeholders/end users.
  • Creation, coordination, and maintenance of roadmaps, release plans, and operational plans for the developed product.
  • Interaction with external research institutes to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments.
  • I shape the ongoing development of ToOp as a sustainable open-source product, serve as a point of contact for the community, represent ToOp and TopRAO to internal and external partners, and support proofs of concept, releases, implementation, and operations.
